The Need
Both " End of the pipe " and " in process " treatments can benefit from well
designed filtration. Close recirculation, usually to an inferior water quality
consumer - may be the best directly applied technology.

The Problem
To reduce suspended solids in all three techniques: " End of the pipe treatment",
ahead of, or post treatment,or " in - process recirculation ". Direct recycling
is diverted to inferior usage when suspended matter is the major problem.

The Solution
To reduce T.S.S. to the required need or regulations.
" End of the pipe " -when burden is too high or effluent - is unsatisfactory.
" In process " - usually post treatment.
" Direct recycling " - often filtration may be the major treatment element.

Performance.
In most cases, combined with water treatment. In some cases the only treatment.
In others the major stage. Flush volume will be high - 5 % of flow or more and
will be diverted to the previous storage stage. When carefully selected, filtration
offers a unique contribution to the treatment and is of great benefit.
